No screen recorder icon/option

I thought there was a screen recorder built into the oppo Reno that could be accessed by swiping down on the status bar,but alas there is no screen recorder icon....I've gone to system apps to see if it's there but it's not.
Does anyone have any idea how to get the screen recorder option,maybe I'm overlooking something....
